How to install Android 10 on any phone - LineageOS

How to install Android 6.0

There are a multitude of devices with the Android platform, the problem is that practically the majority of these devices are stuck in time on obsolete versions of Android.

What many people don't know about is the possibility of updating these phones and installing a newer version like 6.0 Marshmallow, using a ROM called cyanogenmod that is easy to install and is super stable, often surpassing even standard Android.

How to install Android 10 or updated?

In order to install Android 6.0, you must first have a Custom Recovery on your Smartphone, if you don't know what custom recovery is, we'll explain. Every standard cell phone has the option of a recovery, but it is the default one that comes with the cell phone and has the options of doing a Hard Reset, installing updates manually, among others. When you install Custom Recovery, it allows you a multitude of functions, one of which is the installation of Roms.

Well, if you don't have a custom recovery, just search on the internet: “how to install custom recovery 'Your cell phone model'” and you will find several tutorials. Well, once you have the recovery installed, just follow the next steps below:

  1. Go to the cyanogenmod website and select your device, then download the latest version of the ROM. To find your device, there is a bar on the left side with the names of the Smartphones, just search for yours and click, then download the latest version. Access the website: LINEAGEOS DOWNLOAD
(CYANOGENMOD HAS CHANGED ITS NAME, AND LINEAGEOS ONLY HAS THE LATEST VERSION OF ANDROID, BUT THE ROM IDEA IS THE SAME) If you can't find your device in the link above, try this one: http://www.lineageosrom.com/ , if you still can't find it, search on Google by typing lineageos followed by the name of your device!
  • The next step is to download the Google applications, which must be downloaded in zip format, to be installed by the recovery right after the ROM has been installed. To do this, simply access the OpenGapps website and select the platform, which in this case would be: ARM - 32-bit cell phones, ARM 64 - 64-bit cell phones, X86 - Intel processors. Also select the Android version, which in this case is 6.0, and select the type of GApps, which in this case are the first ones that come with more applications and as you go down, there are fewer applications. It is recommended to download the nano version, but if you want, you can download the Full version, which comes with several Google applications in addition to the Essential ones. Access the website: OPENGAPPS DOWNLOAD
  • Once you have downloaded both files, you will move the files to the root of your phone with a USB cable.
  • After that, just enter recovery mode and do a Full Wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data and System
  • Then go to Install, and select your room and install, after that go to Install again and select the GApps and install
  • Then just wipe cache/dalvik and restart the phone.
  • And now just enjoy your Android 6.0, sometimes the first Bot can take a while, so don't despair!
