Mobile data has signal but does not work? Learn how to solve it

A very common frustrating problem is having a 3G or 4G signal, but the internet doesn't load. I'm going to present two solutions that can solve this inconvenience. I believe that many people don't even think about this solution, which, despite being simple, almost always solves problems with a lack of internet connection.

Mobile Data has signal but does not work – Force 3G/4G Connection on Cell Phone:

Android:

1. Access your cell phone settings;
2. Look for “Network and Internet” and select the option;
3. Then look for “Mobile Network”;
4. When entering the mobile network, you must look for the option that allows you to choose the preferred network “2g/3g/4g” and select the cell phone option that only shows 3G or 4G or 5G on newer cell phones;

      5. And this will probably fix the connection issues;

Iphone:

1. Go to your iPhone settings;
2. Select the “Cellular” option;
3. Then select your chip in the SIMs option;
4. You will find an option written “Voice and Data” select it;
5. After that, simply remove it from the automatic and select 5G, 4G or 3G according to your iPhone model;

Didn't solve the problem? I recommend following the second step by step where you should contact the Operator.

Update the Chip with the Operator:

If the problem persists, consider updating your chip with your operator.

1. Contact the operator's support via phone number or chat application;
2. Explain the situation and follow their instructions;
3. They can perform a “signal booster upgrade” which may resolve the issue;
4. They usually ask you to turn off your phone for about five minutes during the update;
5. By following these steps, you can be sure that mobile data will work again.
