Animated stickers have recently arrived on WhatsApp. So far, it is not possible to use applications to create or import animated stickers to WhatsApp, but it is possible to create them using a method that we will teach you in this post.

To learn how to make animated stickers for WhatsApp, just follow the steps below:

  1. You will need to select your GIF that you want to turn into a sticker and download it.
  2. After downloading, the website will open. EzGif, in it you will select the GIF Resizer option.
  3. You will click on choose file and select the GIF that you downloaded, after that click on upload.
  4. After clicking on this option, fill Width and Height with the value 512 (both the same) and click on Resize Image.
  5. After that you will see a button that says convert, click on it and select the WebP format.
  6. If an option appears to select, do not change it and press the 'Convert to WebP' button.
  7. After that, click Save and download your converted GIF, ready to become a sticker.
  • Now ask a friend to send you a sticker that you don't have yet, and don't favorite the sticker that you send.
  • Access your file manager on your cell phone and go to the download folder, look for the gif converted to WebP that you downloaded and copy it.
  • After copying, look for the WhatsApp>Media>WhatsApp Stickers folder and paste it into that folder.
  • Open the WhatsApp Stickers folder and look for the last sticker your friend sent you, rename it and copy its entire name, and then you can delete it.
  • Now the image you downloaded has just been placed in this folder, rename it and paste the name you copied, go back to WhatsApp and close it, after opening it your animated sticker will be there and now you can favorite it and send it to your friends.
