Coming soon to WhatsApp – Snapchat-like Stories and location
Recently, some new features that will soon be coming to WhatsApp were discovered, such as the ability to delete and edit messages that have already been sent, but now the news is something else.
Status Function (Similar to Snapchat Stories)
WhatsApp will soon implement a feature called status, which is basically a story like Snapchat, but within WhatsApp, people will be able to post videos and images that are deleted after 24 hours, as shown below in the screenshots provided by @WABETAINFO.
Location function
This function is a bit controversial because it will show the person's exact location, for example if they are in a group, but apparently from what was disclosed the option can be turned off, to the relief of many.
