End-to-end encryption on WhatsApp

Encryption
Recently, the famous WhatsApp application received a fundamental security update, the well-known end-to-end encryption, but what is encryption? This post was created to answer your questions.

Cryptography understand what it is

Encryption is a security measure widely used on websites, applications and cell phones. Encryption is responsible for scrambling data and making it 'indecipherable' for other people, making it only available to the user. Don't understand?
Encryption is as if we took, for example, a conversation that was written by me:

Hey how's it going?

E deixasse dessa maneira se tentasse ser lida por outra pessoa:

?tebmudtoio

More or less like that, but with a much higher level of security making it indecipherable.

The functionality is the same, but on WhatsApp, only you and the person you are talking to have access to the conversation, which is encrypted and has a code automatically generated by WhatsApp to verify that it is really secure. This means that no third party can access this conversation, not even the government, making the conversation very secure. Not even WhatsApp itself can read these conversations.

The security measure brings relief to many, but the government probably doesn't think it's good.
