Criptografia é uma medida de segurança muito usada em sites, aplicativos e celulares, a criptografia é responsável por embaralhar os dados e tornar ‘indecifrável’ para outras pessoas, ficando somente disponível para o usuário, não entendeu?

The functionality is the same, but on WhatsApp, only you and the person you are talking to have access to the conversation, which is encrypted and has a code automatically generated by WhatsApp to verify that it is really secure. This means that no third party can access this conversation, not even the government, making the conversation very secure. Not even WhatsApp itself can read these conversations.

The security measure brings relief to many, but the government probably doesn't think it's good.
